Redhouse Arts Center
Red House Arts Center is a nonprofit, multi-arts organization dedicated to the production and presentation of interdisciplinary works, new theatre, music, visual art, and is a regional provider of community based arts education. Red House supports the creative process by providing an unique platform for regional, national and international artistic expressions. Through our public programs and community engagement initiatives, Red House aims to stimulate cultural activities and contribute to community development throughout Central New York.
The Red House Arts Center Inc produces professional theatre year-round (a new work, a contemporary play, free Shakespeare on the Lake production, a site-specific production, a musical.) The redhouse Re-Present series offers music (world music, folk, bluegrass, punk, rock), dance (modern, hip hop, African), and theatre (La MaMa at the redhouse, solo pieces, contemporary works). redhouse Radio produces 4 monthly programs about the arts across CNY. The Re-Connect program offers 5 community-based arts education programs (Theatre Experience, Film-making 101, Emerging Performances, Rock Camp) for students of all ages, and an arts program for inner city teens (The Hillside Series). Gallery artists exhibit sculpture, ceramic, painting, drawing, and multi-media installations. The Re-Focus program features a curated season of independent films. The Just Add Red outreach program offers nonprofits and businesses accesses to Red House programs and facilities to enhance community arts development.
