Hector – 1996 (21 years old) I was studying social sciences and a musician friend inspired me to study music

Are there any musicians who inspire you? What qualities do you admire about them?
Thousands of musicians, classical music. My favorite is Bach because he configured music in the way that we understand it today. In popular music I like Sting, the Beatles, Irakere, Los Van Van, and Queen.

If your fans could remember one thing about you/your band, what would it be?
I prefer that my music students remember me more than the public. I enjoy teaching more than playing for the public.
“Prefiero que me recuerden mis estudiantes de música más que el público. Disfruto más ensenar que tocar para el publico.”

Describe your favorite venue for performing.
In the United States I’ve only played in the Westside Learning Center. In Cuba, with Friends in homes and on the streets.
“En EU solamente he tocado en el Westside Learning Center, en Cuba, con los amigos en las casas y en las calles.”

Tell me about your favorite performance in your career.
My music classes
“Mis clases de música.”

What's the best piece of advice another musician ever gave you?
Listen to music. To have patience studying and feeling it like your own language.
