Monuments redefines traditional expectations of public monuments and the selective history represented in our civic spaces, and celebrates the living, contributing, members of our Oswego County community.

Crafted Underground will be hosting pop-up vendors every weekend starting in October through December at the The McCarthy Mercantile in Downtown Syracuse, NY. 

 Bespoke Art & Craftsmanship, a collective of art based businesses, will host its first virtual artisan summit to educate art consumers about the work of local artisans and also assist artists recovering from financial loss due to Covid-19 shutdowns.

Rochester Contemporary Art Center is working with community partners Home Leasing and Trillium Health in Rochester, NY to commission a public artwork that supports and celebrates the LGBTQ+ community in a new LGBTQ+ welcoming building. All applications are due October 31, 2021, and will be handled through an RFQ/RFP selection process

Whether instigated by Covid-19, the shifting priorities of funders or their own recognition of the need to address inequities, arts leaders are listening to their communities. Many recognize that it’s no longer enough for arts organizations to be good — they must also do good.

Syracuse Stage, in partnership with the Syracuse University Department of Drama, will present “Matilda The Musical” as its holiday musical for the 2021/2022 season. Video audition submissions for young artists, ages 8 – 13, who sing and dance are now being accepted.

Fellowship & assistantship opportunities are available at Le Moyne College in their Graduate Arts Administration Program for the 2021-22 academic year. These opportunities are available to new students who have been accepted into the program before July 15.
