View, the Center for Arts and Culture located in Old Forge, New York, will open the 70th Annual Central Adirondack Art Show to the public on April 3 and run through June 6.

The Central Adirondack Art show is a long-standing Old Forge tradition, showcasing some of the finest artists from throughout the Central Adirondack Region and beyond. Held for the first time in 1951, by View founder Miriam Kashiwa in her front yard, the Central Adirondack Art Show is a testament to the significant place the arts hold within the hearts and minds of the residents and visitors to the Adirondacks.

The official Opening Reception will be held at View on April 23, from 5-7 pm, Registration is required due to COVID-19 (safety guidelines below). To register, visit or call 315-369-6411. An Online Reception will be held April 28 starting at 5 pm at The virtual reception will include an online gallery, information on this year’s award winners, a video about the exhibition and more.

View’s commitment to keep View open in a safe and healthy manner remains our highest priority. We have developed health and safety guidelines for every aspect of our business, meeting all local, state, and federal protocols. There will be visual guidelines, temperature checks and sanitary stations at the entryway. Masks must be worn in the building and social distancing should be maintained as much as possible. Hand sanitizing stations can be found throughout our building. No more than 20 people will be permitted into our Exhibition Galleries at any given time.
