This exhibit ofacrylicpaintings by local artist Ginny DeLucia Donohue will be up May 1 – May 30, 2025, on the main floor of the library.Per the artist,I love the mountains and discovered that I was a landscape painter at the age of 72. I told myself since 6th grade that I had no art talent… and then a Paint and Sip in Minnesota changed it all. Since I was learning during CCovid, it was online learning...tutorials by Bill Alexander, Bob Ross, Kevin Hill, Viktor Yushkevich opened a new joy for me. Then I made the leap to original paintings. The paintings on displaywere either guided by those on-line tutorials or are original paintings. The title comes from a quote by John Muir: “The mountains are calling and I must go.”About the artist: Ginnyand herhusband travel 4 months a year – towing an RV – to national parks.
