The Salmon River Fine Arts Center is offering free OUTDOOR “Drawing in the Park” classes each Thursday night (weather permitting) at South Park in Pulaski - across the street from the Arts Center. These are drop-in classes and open to artists of all ages and experience levels. Paper and pencils will be provided, but feel free to bring your own sketchpad and favorite drawing utensils. Bring your own chair, sit on the grass or find a nearby bench. Draw from the environment, or bring your own photo reference (although we also have a lot of reference material available). An instructor will be on hand to offer guidance, ideas and critique. This event is made possible by a generous donation from Drs. Patricia and Jay Chapman.

To maintain safe social distancing, the following practices will be followed:

  1. Masks or face coverings must be worn at all times.
  2. A distance of six feet must be maintained with individuals you don’t live with.
  3. Art will be propped up for critique and guidance provided within a safe distance.
  4. Hand sanitizer will be available on site to use as needed during or after class.
