Denise Hart is a writer, producer, and water activist. An Oswego alum, her essays and articles have appeared in The Boston Globe Sunday Magazine, Poets & Writers, and other national, regional and university publications. Her poetry is published in regional chapbooks. She co-produced two documentaries for public television, Mirza's Bosnia and Four Hands, One Heart: Ed and Mary Scheier. In the 2000s, she and her neighbors in Save Our Groundwater fought off a bottled water company for 15 years and won while changing the state's groundwater law in the process. Denise recently completed a memoir exploring family and race. While at Oswego, Denise wrote for the Pendulum, served as assistant editor of the Oswegonian, and was vice president of the Student Association.
