Welcome to Bristol Place Senior Living Facility where Abby has lived alone for many years. She is a brittle, collected woman who enjoys her privacy. Through sheer determination, she has managed to intimidate every roommate she has ever been assigned. Along comes Marilyn, a gregarious, buoyant creature who proves to be Abby’s greatest challenge.
These two wonderful characters embark on a journey to win sole custody of the room they have been forced to share. Into the mix is added Scotty, an orderly in the retirement home and Abby’s confidant; Colleen and Benjamin, Marilyn’s daughter and son-in-law, who become unwilling co-conspirators in Marilyn’s outrageous schemes; and Benjamin, Abby’s estranged son, who has been battling addiction.
