Adirondack Potter Peter Shrope will demonstrate and guide participants through the various processes used to create a large vessel. Including throwing and forming techniques.Since this project will be created using the potter’s wheel, basic potter’s wheel experience is required.
Peter Shrope is well known for creating large vessels, tiles, and original glazes using crushed Adirondack rock dust and glaze materials. He received his MFA in Sculpture from Penn State and studied under Master potters Vivika and Otto Heino.
Cost includes materials, firing fee, and lunch.
Class size is limited therefore preregistration is required. Deadline for registration is June 13, 2018.
