Call for Creatives, Vendors, and Artists


The H. Lee White Maritime Museum at Oswego is seeking a professional (CNY preferred) artist to create and conduct a chalk art exhibition on Saturday, July 25, 2021 at the museum’s outdoor space in Oswego, New York.
The artist would work on their own art and also oversee and guide young artists ages 9-17 in their own efforts to learn the medium.
Volunteers, museum staff and other artists will assist with the event. The program time is 10-3 pm. The artist should set up well in advance.
The artist fee to be paid is dependent on the level of experience and expertise.

Lighting the Way: Oswego’s Lighthouse in Pictures

The Maritime Museum seeks to engage artists with a juried photography exhibit and a virtual exhibit featuring the amazing works of the New York State photography community.  Photographers travel from around the State to Oswego to photograph the West Pierhead Lighthouse in all four seasons - and they want to feature your work. 

DEADLINE: All photographs must be submitted by April 30, 2021

Arts Association of Oswego

Entry into the 24th Annual Lakeside Statewide Juried Art Exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age and older, living or working in New York State over the last 2 years.

Acceptable media include: drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking, photography, digital media, ceramics, and all fine craft. Work previously exhibited at the Oswego Civic Arts Center is not eligible. Work completed prior to 2019 is not eligible. Entries should be appropriate for all ages. 

Deadline is Monday, February 15, by midnight.

They're seeking stories particularly interested in material that gets up close and personal with the struggles of 2020 — not headlines or commentary on current events.

Hindsight is an independent, one-time publication. Content will be made available in two forms: Some stories will be shared on our website; the very best submissions will be compiled into a print anthology, which will be published in 2021.
