Irish Music Takes Center Stage: Kirkland Art Center Hosts St. Patrick’s Weekend Celebration

CLINTON, NY — Lively tunes and evocative ballads will fill the Kirkland Art Center in Clinton from 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16th. The annual Irish Evening at the KAC is a fundraising event featuring traditional musicians from the area. Pat Reynolds (fiddle) and Nick Whitmer (uilleann pipes) will play jigs, reels, and hornpipes in the traditional way of an Irish session. Vocalist Stephanie Steele, a local favorite, will bring some classic Irish ballads to the evening. The multi-talented Nora Revenaugh will add her renditions of traditional songs and will also join the local Irish music group Craobh Dugan O’Looney, who will finish the evening with their spirited tunes and dance.

Irish refreshments available during the evening will include Barry’s tea and soda bread, a selection of Irish beers, along with wine and soft drinks.

“Come celebrate all things Irish with us for St. Patrick’s Day at the Kirkland Art Center!” said executive director Anita Welych. “ Enjoy live music and great company while supporting our community art center.”

The Irish Evening at the KAC is on Saturday, March 16 from 5 pm to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at www.kacny.org or at the door. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $18 for KAC members.
